This week Roma secured their first signing of the summer and the second signing for next season. As it has been reported for days Jose Mourinho was looking to reunite with Nemanja Matic. The Serbian Midfielder has played under Jose Mourinho on two occasions already with Chelsea and Manchester United. They will reunite again Nemanja Matic recently saw his contract expire at Manchester United making him available on a free transfer. According to the reports coming out of Italy he had some proposals from England Germany and France. However, the opportunity to work with Jose Mourinho yet again was too good to pass up. The deal was finalized earlier this week as he flew to Rome on Monday to complete the deal before his arrival was officially announced on Tuesday morning. Neither of them probably are expected to start on a regular basis but the defensive capabilities of the both of them together in certain games could prove to be very important. He brings a lot to this Roma team even as a squad player as Roma kick off their summer with an experienced winner as the squad continues to take shape.
